MY SACRED BOOKLIST

I have found that books have played a vital role in my spiritual awakening. It’s like seeing words for the first time that can finally give voice to a feeling or experience that was intangible up until that point.

Books have a beautiful way of expanding consciousness by providing you with EXAMPLES.
Painting a new landscape.
A spark to reignite your flame of inner-wisdom.
Reminding you of something your soul has always known.

So here I am sharing with you a list of books that I have read and experienced a deeper connection to the power of my feminine spirit.

MY SACRED BOOKLIST

I recommend you read these books in this order. I find they build quite nicely with each other. 

1. The Red Tent
   By: Anita Diamant
   
   
   
   ▸ Read this to connect with your period and learn about the powerful magic your menstrual cycle holds. If you have bad cramps or want to improve your relationship with your period, this one is for you!
   
   I also listened to this one via Audible. I loved experiencing this work as a storytime tale, bringing me back to Ancient times.

2.  Women Who Run with the Wolves
   By: Clarissa Pinkola Estés
   
   
   
   ▸ Read this to connect to your nasty, wild, unapologetic, instinctual, primal feminine nature.
   
   I listened to this one via Audible. I loved listening to the narrator. It felt like hearing an elder share lost sacred tales over the crackling fire.

3. The Sophia Code
   By: Kaia Ra
   
   
   
   ▸ Read this to simultaneously have your mind blown and your higher-self activated. This book is a living transmission that actually initiates you into the feminine mysteries.
   
   I recommend getting a hard copy of this one. Take it in, in small bite sizes. I still have yet to finish it, but I know it’s still working through me, supporting me to live more as my highest self each day.

4. Anna, Grandmother of Jesus
   By: Claire Heartsong
   
   
   
   ▸ Read this to learn a new perspective of the teachings and stories of Jesus. One that includes the Feminine. That honours and recognizes the role she played in birthing, raising, teaching and preparing the Messiah for his mission here on Earth.
   
   I recommend reading this in hard copy form. I also suggest leaving everything you may have learned about Jesus to one side for a moment, and opening your heart to receive this story to truly feel how it resonates inside of you. I experienced a tremendous number of shifts and awakenings in reading this. Again, I’ll say I was given an example that my consciousness has been tirelessly looking for. (ahh, so much relief!)

5. Magdalene Mysteries: 
   the left-hand path of the Feminine Christ
   By: Seren and Azra Bertrand
   
   
   
   ▸ Read this as a manual. A way to learn about the most ancient roots of feminine power. It takes you back to a time when women were revered for their intuitive, instinctual, spiritual and sexual power.
   
   I’m still reading this one, and I feel like I’m really getting to understand why erotic expression has been shamed over time, and why it’s so important to reclaim ALL of our expressions HOLY!
   Definitely get a hard copy for this one! I have been highlighting and taking notes in my book!

When something sparks inside of you, or if you have an “ah-hah” moment — PAUSE.
Be with it.
Let it fill you all the way.
Let this new information flow to every one of your cells.
Breathe.
